What happens when one AI designs a website and another AI migrates it to Drupal? In this session, I'll walk through a real-world experiment where I used Lovable AI to design a stunning Formula 1 race-weekend hub, then handed the exported React codebase to Claude Code — which read, understood, and rebuilt the entire site in Drupal 11 in under 30 minutes.
This isn't theory. This is a working site with:
- 4+ structured content types (Driver, Team, Race, News & more)
- 5 Drupal Views powering dynamic pages
- 18 custom Canvas components matching the original "telemetry frosted-glass" design
- Full design system preservation (CSS custom properties, typography, team colours)
The workflow:
1. Prompt Lovable AI: "Build me an F1 race weekend hub with a telemetry frosted-glass design"
2. Export the ZIP: Lovable generates React 19 + TanStack Router + Tailwind CSS 4
3. Feed to Claude Code: Extract and ask Claude to read and understand the entire codebase
4. Migrate to Drupal: Using vision25, canvas/cli and drupal-canvas skills, Claude builds everything in Drupal 11 (running on DDEV)
Who should attend:
- Developers curious about AI-assisted Drupal development
- Agencies looking to speed up design-to-Drupal workflows
- Site builders wanting to leverage Drupal Canvas
- Anyone skeptical (or excited) about AI in the Drupal ecosystem
I'll highlight the prompts used, and showcase the ".md" file, vision25 file, migration plan, screenshots of before/after, and the working local site. You'll leave with a repeatable playbook for AI-assisted migrations.
