Save the date — 21–23 January 2027 IIT Bombay
Session Category Digital Sovereignty & Open Web Difficulty level Anyone

Drupal is widely used by the top organizations across the world. Be it Tesla, Dell, some branches of the US Government or Indian giants like Reliance, Nasscom and NSE - all prefer Drupal as their content management system for their consumer or public facing websites.

When you’re providing a platform for billions of people worldwide, privacy and adherence to global compliance standards are of paramount importance.

And now that, Global Privacy Laws are making data processing more stringent than it ever was - and I would say, rightly so - managing privacy and compliance on your Drupal website shouldn’t be complicated.

The GDPR, DPDP Act 2023, and CCPA/CPRA each approach privacy differently, but they all share a common principle: people should have meaningful transparency and control over how their personal data is handled.

In this session, I'll go over the DPDPA mandates, and what you need to do to be compliant.

Breakdown of India's Data Protection Act (DPDPA) and how to make your website and organization as whole, DPDPA compliant.
