Every content marketer loses hours each week to the same mechanical work: pulling data from Search Console and analytics, rebuilding content briefs from scratch, chasing publish handoffs through approval queues. The usual advice is "ask engineering for help" — but engineering has a backlog, and your brief is due Friday.
This talk is a field report from the marketing side of a large Drupal website. Over the past year, I built a set of automations that took over the repetitive layer of my SEO work — with no engineering support and no code beyond copy-paste. In 20 minutes, I will walk through three of them, live: an automated content-brief pipeline that assembles keyword data, SERP context, and an outline in minutes instead of hours; a monitoring workflow that flags declining blog posts before traffic quietly disappears; and a publish-routing automation that moves optimized content to the CMS without a single "any update on this?" message.
For each one, I will show what it replaced, how long it took to build, where it failed the first time, and the honest limits of what a marketer can automate alone. You will leave with a pattern you can copy for your own workflows — whatever your stack — and a realistic sense of when to build it yourself versus when to actually go ask engineering.
