However, not all AI-driven approaches to accessibility are effective, and some patterns might even decrease a site’s accessibility. The presentation will help you understand the areas where AI is useful, areas where it is not, and how to check that AI-powered output is indeed good enough for accessibility purposes.
We will provide examples of useful applications such as automated alt text generation, captioning, content simplification, and semantic structure suggestion, along with failure cases such as misleading information, structural mistakes, and excessive automation. We will also demonstrate how to construct verification processes for Drupal sites with AI-driven output: human checks, automated tests, and assistive technologies evaluation.
